Final Project | Portfolio

 

This is my final project of the semester. I must say I am proud of my work in this class. I've learned a lot about Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Overall, I loved that I enrolled in this course this spring semester. 

                

Project | Animation

For my animation project I wanted to focus on Medical Marijuana. I decided to base my project on this controversial topic because I personally feel the drug can be very beneficial in the medicine industry. I wanted my animation to be "Pro-Marijuana" and not "Anti-Marijuana." I used a clip from CNN that explained both views on why Medical Marijuana should and should not be legalized within America. I then added some general Marijuana facts towards the end.

Project | Lyrical Collage

Brooklyn
This lyrical collage basically shows how much I love where I come from. I wanted this lyrical collage  for the most part. to be all about Brooklyn, New York. For the lyric I went with one of my favorite rappers lyrics Jay-Z. This particular lyric mentions the Brooklyn Dodgers and also makes a reference to the great Jackie Robinson. In my collage I included the former Brooklyn Dodgers logo and the current NBA team the Brooklyn Nets. I incorporated those into my collage because they both were or currently are teams that represent Brooklyn. Overall, I am truly satisfied with my finish product. Hope everyone is as well :)

Assignment | Custom Graphic

Stardom

For my custom graphic I really didn't know what I wanted to do, except that I knew I wanted stars to be involved. I brought together a gradient and different brush presets to really give my graphic detail and depth. Each corner of the graphic has different brushes applied to it. I kept the stars alive in each corner of the graphic. I really think the stars bring out the graphic.

Magazine Cover

For my final magazine cover I gained motivation from my own photos. I decided to name it "Brooklyn Times" because I personally am from Brooklyn, New York. I wanted it to be cool and a bit silly. The background image for the cover is one of my photos as well. I decided to make that the background image because I am in love with that photo and those just to happen to be my favorite sneakers of all time. Hopefully this becomes an actual magazine in the near future. 

Assignment | Self Insertion

Final Piece 

For my self insertion assignment I to portray a sort of "life is good" type of vibe. Which is why I decided to go with the nice Aventador car. I went back and forth with different ways of positioning myself within the photo. Finally, with the help of my classmates and Professor Corrigan I was able to come up with this piece.

Project | Vector Illustration

Bob Marley

For my vector illustration I decided to recreate a Bob Marley photo. I decided to do this because my classmate Alexandria said that it was a cool photo and that it would be cool if I used to for my project. Since I already had a passion for Marley, I decided that I will use it for my vector illustration.   I had many difficulties in finding colors and patterns for the dreads. Overall I am very happy with the outcome.
